INDUSTRIAL LUBRICANTS

Understanding the characteristics of the various industrial lubricants is a fundamental factor for a user when they are selecting industrial lubricants for their machine tools which work with waterbase cutting fluids. The compatibility of cutting fluids with industrial lubricants is important to know if the user expects to get long life for the cutting fluids and not create unwanted side effects from the industrial lubricants. For example if any of the industrial lubricants has an emulsifier built into its blend and it is used used on machine tools, the excess oil may go into solution once it contacts some types of cutting fluids. This may be a good move for minimizing free tramp oil but it may harm the chemical balance of the cutting fluids.

The staff at Harrigan Solutions understands the consequences and can guide a user to the best combination of industrial lubricants and cutting fluids.

ALF LAVAL CENTRIFUGES

Harrigan Solutions offers the full line of Alfa Laval Centrifuges. They include liquid/solid, liquid/liquid and liquid/solid/liquid separators. The centrifuge is one of the most efficient devices on the market of clarification of liquids. Therefore if you have an application which requires effective separation on difficult applications such as fine particulate from oils or oils from waterbase fluids feel free to contact Bill Harrigan at 1 888 685 9603, or email at bharrigan@harrigansolutions.com, or visit their website http://www.harrigansolutions.com/

ALFA LAVAL SERVICE

If ever an unknown is intimidating, servicing a centrifuge could be considered a classic situation. Since servicing centrifuges is not an everyday routine, the in-house know-how is limited and consequently maintenance waits until it because more repair than preventative. Harrigan Solutions has the staff and the procedures to conduct routine Alfa Laval Service and maintenance on all types of centrifuges particularly Alfa Laval Centrifuges. Alfa Laval Service is supported with an active inventory of Alfa Laval Parts. Alfa Laval Service programs can be on an as-needed basis or with established annual working agreements.

CUTTING FLUIDS

Metalworking cutting fluids is a general term for coolants used in grinding , machining, and metal forming such rolling and drawing. Many of the fluids are formulated to meet standard needs and are often blended with additives to satisfy specific application conditions. They can range from straight oils to waterbase solutions with emulsions, semi-synthetics, and synthetics. Harrigan Solutions has the experience to assist in the proper fliud selection to meet the needs of the process and survive the rigors of the fluid cleaning and handling equipment.

Waterbase cutting fluids perform many tasks during metalworking operations. Cutting fluids cool, lubricate, transfer debris, from the operation, provide protection from corrosion, and serve as an anti weld agent. Cutting fluids are generally known for the functions listed here, except for anti weld. Anti weld characteristic prevents a freshly cut chip from welding back onto the stock at the point of work.

The freshly cut chip is exposed to the stock at high heat and it just welds back on causing poor quality and short tool life. Cutting fluids coat the surfaces as well as cool the surfaces so welding can not take place.

There are other advantages cutting fluids offer in a metalworking operation and the staff at Harrigan Solutions can offer more details. Contact Bill Harrigan at 1 888 685 9603, or email him at bharrigan@harrigansolutions.com. You can visit their website at http://www.harrigansolutions.com/.

PRESSURE FILTERS

Flat bed pressure filters are one of the most effective filters found in the liquid/solid separation industry. With industrial liquids it has the capability to efficiently remove contaminants from the liquid and prepare the discharge to efficiently remove the contaminants from the facility. The material is accumulated on the media and loose liquid is extracted before the unwanted material is discharged.
The pressure filter can achieve high flow rates for long durations so media consumption is economically justified. There is much more to the pressure filter's capability and Harrigan Solutions can provide answers to your questions. COOLANT FILTRATION

Coolant filtration goes beyond the selection of the proper cleaning device. Coolant filtration is a total system concept regardless of the size of the system. A small standalone unit follows the same design criteria as a large centralized system. The main components of all coolant filtration systems are collection the dirty coolant at the process, transfer, store, clean, hold the clean coolant, control temperature (if needed) and return the coolant to the process.

Harrigan Solutions understands the sequence well and can serve in any capacity needed by the user. The components of service could include pre-engineering,design of the system, selection of the coolant cleaning equipment, supply the system and service the equipment as required.
