As an important equipment in the field of industrial solid-liquid separation, the Decanter Centrifuge is widely used in many industries such as petrochemical, food processing, pharmaceuticals, environmental protection, electroplating, metallurgy, and papermaking. With its compact structure, continuous operation, high efficiency and energy saving, and high degree of automation, it is a key tool for modern enterprises in sludge dewatering, wastewater treatment, and material concentration. However, no matter how advanced the equipment is, if it is improperly installed and maintained, it will not only affect the operating efficiency, but may also cause frequent failures and even equipment damage, resulting in unnecessary shutdowns and maintenance costs. Therefore, correct installation and scientific daily maintenance are the basis for ensuring the stable operation of the decanter centrifuge and extending its service life.
Preparation before installation
Check the integrity of the equipment
After receiving the equipment, the following inspections should be carried out immediately:
Appearance: Check whether the packaging is complete and whether there is any bump or deformation;
Accessories: Check whether the instructions, certificates of conformity, and spare parts list are complete;
Accessories: Check whether the electric control cabinet, inlet and outlet pipes, base bolts, shock pads, etc. are complete;
Interior: Open the observation port and check whether the drum, spiral, and bearing parts are clean and free of rust;
Transport lock: Whether it is still in the transport lock state, it must be released before installation.
If any abnormality is found, contact the supplier or manufacturer immediately for processing.
Installation foundation preparation
The horizontal screw centrifuge is a high-speed equipment and has strict requirements on the foundation:
Foundation strength: Concrete strength is recommended to be ≥C25, and foundation thickness is ≥300mm;
Horizontal requirements: The horizontal error of the equipment installation surface does not exceed 1mm/m;
The embedded bolts are accurately positioned, and the hole diameter and depth meet the drawings;
Water inlet and outlet pipes, cable wiring, and maintenance channels are reserved.
It is recommended that the foundation construction be naturally cured for at least 7 days before installation.
Installation process and key points
1. Lifting and positioning
Lifting must use lifting ears, and it is forbidden to hang the drum or other weak parts;
Avoid shaking and collision during lifting, and it is recommended to use nylon slings;
The equipment should be placed stably on the foundation, and the bolts should be tightened after the level is corrected.
2. Shock absorption and fixation
To prevent vibration during operation, a shock absorption device must be installed:
It is recommended to use rubber shock pads or spring shock absorbers;
After installation, the level should be corrected again, and the error should not exceed ±1mm;
Spring washers should be used to prevent loosening of the tightening bolts, and the force should be kept uniform.
3. Pipeline and electrical connection
The feed port, slag outlet, and clear liquid outlet should be connected according to the drawings, and pay attention to avoid stress pulling the equipment body;
It is recommended to use soft connection pipes for easy shock absorption and maintenance;
The electrical control system should be installed by professional electricians to ensure good grounding;
The cables between the control cabinet and the host must be reasonably wired to avoid high temperature, oil pollution, and water vapor.
Precautions for trial operation and debugging
It is recommended that the trial operation and debugging of the horizontal screw centrifuge be guided by the manufacturer or professional technicians. The steps are as follows:
1. No-load operation
After the first power-on, check whether the motor direction is correct;
Start the equipment without load and observe whether there is abnormal vibration, noise or alarm;
The idling time is not less than 30 minutes, and the bearing temperature rise is ≤40℃.
2. Loaded operation
Slowly add materials to observe whether the slag and liquid are unobstructed;
Check whether the differential is working normally and whether it rotates according to the set parameters;
Check the moisture content of the slag and the transparency of the clear liquid, and adjust the speed and dosage to optimize the effect.
3. Set operating parameters
The main motor speed, differential speed, feed flow rate, etc. should be optimized according to the material characteristics;
For viscous materials, the amount of flocculant can be appropriately increased;
All settings should be recorded and filed for reference in subsequent operations.
Daily maintenance points
Is the oil level of the lubrication system sufficient and is there any oil leakage?
Is the sound of the equipment running abnormal, is there any friction or impact sound?
Is the electric control cabinet alarming and is there any error code?
Is the discharge uniform and is there any mixed flow of slag and liquid?
