Basic Overview
Definition: Pusher centrifuge pushes the material into the centrifuge, and separates and sorts the material under the action of centrifugal force.
Classification: Pusher centrifuges are mainly divided into two categories: fixed centrifuges and floating centrifuges. Fixed centrifuges fix the shaft on the mechanical equipment so that the object moves around the shaft; while floating centrifuges float the shaft on the object so that the object moves around the shaft.
Working Principle
The working principle of the pusher centrifuge is mainly based on the action of centrifugal force. Taking the three-stage piston pusher centrifuge as an example, its working principle is: the drum and the screw rotate at high speed in the same direction with differential speed, and the material is continuously introduced into the inner cylinder of the feeding screw from the feed pipe, and enters the drum after acceleration. Under the action of the centrifugal field, the heavier solid phase is deposited on the drum wall to form a sediment layer. The feeding screw continuously pushes the deposited solid phase to the cone end of the drum and discharges it out of the machine through the slag discharge port. The lighter liquid phase forms an inner liquid ring, which continuously overflows the drum from the overflow port at the large end of the drum and is discharged out of the machine through the liquid discharge port.
Application fields
Pusher centrifuges are widely used in many industries due to their efficient and stable separation performance:
1. Food processing industry: used for material separation in brewing industries such as dairy products, cosmetics, protein, soy sauce and vinegar.
2. Pharmaceutical industry: used for Chinese medicine extraction, cell separation, drug crystallization process, etc.
3. Chemical industry: used for separation and treatment of acid, alkali salt solution, fly ash, calcium carbonate, aluminum silicate and other materials.
4. Sewage treatment industry: used in solid-liquid separation and sludge dehydration, effectively solving the problems in traditional sewage treatment processes.
Operation and Maintenance
Operation Procedures:
1. Before operation, check whether the centrifuge is in normal working condition, including power supply, instrument, turntable, centrifuge tube and sample, etc.
2. Adjust parameters such as speed, time, etc. according to the specifications and requirements of the centrifuge.
3. After starting the centrifuge, pay attention to observe its operating status, such as speed stability, noise, etc.
4. Do not open the centrifuge cover at will when the centrifuge is running. After the work is completed, wait until the centrifuge stops running before opening the cover to remove the centrifuge tube.
Maintenance and care:
1. Clean the centrifuge regularly to remove dirt and residues on the surface of the equipment.
2. Regularly check the motor, rotor, bearings and other key components of the centrifuge to ensure their normal operation.
3. Regularly lubricate the equipment and replace wearing parts such as seals and bearings.
4. When shutting down for maintenance, the power supply must be cut off and the equipment must be fully inspected and maintained.
Safety precautions
1. Operators must undergo professional training to understand the working principle, operating procedures and safety precautions of the equipment.
2. Wear appropriate work clothes and protective gloves and other protective equipment during operation.
3. It is strictly forbidden to remove the safety protection device of the centrifuge at will or perform other illegal operations.
4. If any abnormality or emergency is found in the equipment, it is necessary to shut down the machine immediately and cut off the power supply for processing.
The pusher centrifuge plays an important role in modern industrial production with its efficient and stable separation performance and wide application fields. At the same time, correct operating procedures and regular maintenance are also the key to ensure the long-term stable operation of the equipment.
