Working Principle of a Tubular Centrifuge

A tubular centrifuge is a vertical, high-speed separation device. A motor drives a high-speed rotating separation drum (drum) to generate a powerful centrifugal force field, separating liquids from solids and liquids from liquids.

Operating Principle:

Feed

The mixed liquid enters the bottom of the drum through the feed inlet and is rapidly distributed along the inner wall of the drum during high-speed rotation.

Separation

Under the powerful centrifugal force (which can reach 16,000–21,000 g), dense solid particles are deposited on the inner wall of the drum, while layers of liquid with different densities form a ring-like distribution.

Discharge

The separated clear liquid overflows and is discharged from the top. Solid impurities require manual removal after shutdown (for experimental models) or scraping/online discharge (for industrial models).
