Working Principle of a Decanter Centrifuge

Feeding and Distribution

Due to the density difference between solids and liquids, the solid phase is pushed toward the conical end of the bowl by the screw conveyor and continuously discharged through the discharge port. A certain differential speed exists between the screw conveyor and the bowl. This differential speed is controlled by a differential speed device to adjust the residence time and dryness of the solids, thereby achieving optimal dehydration.
