What is a tubular centrifuge?
Tubular centrifuge is a high-speed centrifugal separation equipment, which is widely used to process materials with fine solid particles, low solid content but extremely high separation requirements. Its core structure is a slender stainless steel drum, usually with a diameter of 45mm150mm and a length of about 400mm1000mm. When working, the drum rotates at ultra-high speed (up to 20,000rpm or more), and the different components in the mixed liquid are quickly separated under the action of a strong centrifugal field.
Working principle:
Liquid-solid separation: When the suspension rotates at high speed, the solid particles are thrown to the inner wall of the drum due to their high specific gravity, while the clarified liquid is located in the central axis area and discharged through the top overflow port;
Liquid-liquid separation: Two liquids with different densities but immiscible with each other form concentric annular layers under a high-speed centrifugal field and flow out from different outlets respectively;
Liquid-liquid-solid three-phase separation: Solids are deposited, and the light phase and heavy phase liquids are discharged along different paths respectively.
