How To Properly Adjust A Decanter Centrifuge?

  • by

Correctly adjusting a decanter centrifuge involves many aspects, including preparation before startup, startup operation, shutdown operation, and precautions during operation. The following is a detailed adjustment procedure and guide:

Preparation before starting

Check the power supply and grounding:

Ensure that the power supply wiring and grounding of the main motor and auxiliary motor of the centrifuge are safe and reliable.

Check the belt and rotation direction:

Check whether the belt is loose or dropped, and whether the rotation direction is the same as the direction on the hood.

Check the lubrication condition:

Check whether the oil filling holes on the drum are filled according to the requirements, especially the No. 1 and No. 4 oil filling holes, which need to be filled once every 24 hours of operation, about 5mL each time.

Check the mechanical parts:

Turn the drum by hand to check whether there is friction and collision, and whether it rotates easily.

Install the liquid pool depth adjustment plate:

Install the liquid pool depth adjustment plate in the appropriate position, and adjust it later according to the dryness and wetness of the solid phase.

Cover the hood and tighten the bolts:

Ensure that the upper hood is covered, the bolts on both sides and the bolts of the pulley cover are tightened, and the pulley does not touch the hood.

Set the inverter parameters:

Follow the instructions to set the inverter parameters of the main motor and auxiliary motor, including operating frequency, acceleration time, deceleration time, torque, current limit level, etc.

Set the PLC touch screen:

Set the operating frequency of the main motor, auxiliary motor, feed pump and dosing pump, and adjust the feed amount and dosing amount in real time according to the dryness and wetness of the discharged solid phase of the centrifuge and the clarity of the discharged water during operation.

Check the pump and pipeline:

Ensure that the feed pump, clean water pump and dosing pump are safe and intact and have the conditions for starting. At the same time, check whether the feed pipeline and dosing dilution pipeline on the reagent dilution device are unobstructed.
