The tubular centrifuge is a high-speed centrifugal device with a rotation speed of more than 15,000 revolutions per minute and a separation factor of more than 15,700. It can separate tiny solid particles in the wave body, remove solid impurities, and clarify the liquid.

Working Principle

 

The tubular centrifugal separator consists of a machine body, a transmission system, a drum, a wave collecting system, a feeding system, etc. The motor drives the large pulley, and transmits the power to the small pulley and the main shaft on the machine head through the transmission belt and the tensioning wheel. The main shaft is connected to the drum and rotates at a high speed in a clockwise direction, generating a strong centrifugal force field on the inner wall of the drum. The material is injected into the drum from the nozzle at the bottom of the feeding device. Under the action of the strong centrifugal force, the liquid forces the material to move in layers, and the peripheral particles move to the outer ring of the drum, while the clear liquid moves to the middle layer and flows into the wave collecting tank through the liquid outlet at the upper part of the middle layer.

  • The most notable features of high-speed tubular centrifuges are large centrifugal force and high separation factor. They can obtain highly clear supernatant for most fermentation broths and can separate solid particles with low water content.
  • During the operation of the tubular centrifuge, the wave phase continuously enters and exits the machine, while the solid phase can only be operated intermittently. When the drum is full of solid particles, it must be stopped, disassembled, the material is removed, cleaned and reassembled before it can be operated again. High-speed tubular centrifuges are suitable for clarifying and separating materials with low solid content (less than 2%), while other centrifugal equipment is recommended for pretreatment of materials with high solid content (greater than 5%).
  • The operation of tubular centrifuges is simple, but the operating procedures must be strictly followed. The drum balance requirements are high. If it is not thoroughly cleaned during the cleaning process, it will cause equipment vibration.
  • Including the development of electronic technology, mobile devices can be used to remotely control the start and stop of the machine, and remote control can be used within 100 meters. The control box of the tubular centrifuge adopts LED LCD screen, frequency conversion speed regulation, PLC control. The LED screen displays voltage, current, speed, temperature, and the motor protection functions include overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, overload protection, overheating protection, phase loss protection, stall protection, grounding protection, short circuit protection, low voltage protection and other protections.
