2.A small amount of solid particles withthe greatest density move outward andaccumulate on the wall of the drum toform the outermost layer; the denserheavy phase liquid is thrown onto theower surface of the disc and slidesdown out of the disc area to form an in-termediate ayer: the denser ight phaseiquid moves toward the center of thedrum to form the innermost layer.
