Horizontal screw centrifuge, also known as horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuge, is an efficient and continuous solid-liquid separation equipment. It uses the centrifugal force to effectively separate the solid particles from the liquid in the mixture. According to the different materials to be processed and the performance requirements, the horizontal screw centrifuge can be divided into many types, including but not limited to standard type, enhanced type, and customized type for specific needs of different industries. Working Principle
The working principle of the industrial wastewater horizontal screw centrifuge is based on the action of centrifugal force. When the equipment is started, the drum and the screw conveyor rotate at high speed in the same direction with a certain differential speed, and the wastewater enters the annular space between the drum and the screw conveyor through the feed pipe.
Under the action of centrifugal force, the solid particles in the wastewater are thrown to the inner wall of the drum to form a solid phase layer; while the lighter liquid passes through the solid phase layer to form a liquid ring layer and is discharged from the overflow port at the large end of the drum. While the screw conveyor rotates, it pushes the solid phase layer deposited on the inner wall of the drum to the conical end of the drum, and is continuously discharged through the slag discharge port, thereby completing the solid-liquid separation process.
