Product Features
The disc separator is a mechanical device that uses the principle of centrifugal sedimentation to continuously separate two liquids or solid-liquid suspensions with density differences. The device has the advantages of high speed, stable operation, closed inlet and outlet systems, low noise, and good separation effect.
Working Principle
When the turbid liquid enters the high-speed rotating drum, it enters the disc pack along the channel. Under the strong centrifugal force, the components of various densities form three dynamic concentric rings.
A small amount of solid particles with the highest density move outward and gather on the drum wall to form the outermost layer; the heavy phase liquid with higher density is thrown onto the lower surface of the disc and slides out of the disc area to form the middle layer; the light phase liquid with higher density moves toward the center of the drum to form the innermost layer.
Application
Disc centrifuges are widely used in food, beverages, dairy products, pharmaceuticals, bioengineering, chemical industry, environmental protection and other fields due to their excellent separation ability. In the dairy industry, it is often used for milk degreasing and clarification before pasteurization; in the pharmaceutical industry, it can be used to extract active substances such as antibiotics, enzyme preparations, vaccines, etc.; in the industrial field, it is also often used in lubricant regeneration, wastewater treatment and other process flows. It has strong adaptability and can adjust operating parameters according to the characteristics of different materials to meet diverse process requirements.
