Working Principle
For a general perspective, the decanter is mainly composed of a drive part, a bowl and a screw conveyor. Compact structure. Small size. Its operation is based on the principle of sedimentation. The solid particles are heavier than a liquid precipitate out in a predetermined time.
Besides, Horizontal centrifuge is a kind of mechanical equipment .It uses the principle of centrifugal settling to separate the suspenslonwith density difference continuously. lt also can be used for the separation of differentmaterials under different working condition.
Then, the suspension enters the bowl cavity through the feed pipe. And the solid particles stick to the inner wall of the bowl due to centrifugal force to form a solid ring layer. So that it can form a liquid ring layer due to their low density.
Eventually, through the speed difference between the auger pusher and the drum, the sludge of the solid ring layer is slowly pushed to the cone end of the drum .And it discharged through the slag discharge port. The liquid in the liquid ring layer is discharged through the overflow port.
Decanter centrifuge applications
In terms of application fields, the decanter centrifuge shows a high degree of versatility, and is widely involved in chemical, pharmaceutical, environmental protection, food and other industries to meet the separation needs of different fields.
- Chemical industry: Used to separate liquid and solid particles. For example, separating solid particles in suspension in chemical processes, removing impurities in waste liquid, etc.
- Light industry: It can be used in the washing, grading and dewatering process of starch.
- Pharmaceutical industry:For the separation and purification process of biological drugs.
- Food industry: It is used for the dehydration of soybean and wheat proteins, the dehydration of fishmeal and fish, the dehydration of distiller’s grains, the purification of fruit juice and the dehydration of pulp fiber.
