About centrifuge introduction
Decanter Centrifuge, also known as horizontal spiral unloading sedimentation centrifuge and mud centrifuge, is a special equipment for solid-liquid separation designed according to the characteristics of oil drilling fluid. It can complete various processes such as feeding, centrifugal sedimentation and unloading at full speed. It is widely used in many fields such as oil and gas extraction, construction, environmental protection, mining processing, etc.
Working Principle
The centrifuge uses the principle of centrifugal sedimentation to separate drilling suspension. The suspension enters the drum from the feed pipe through the outlet hole of the spiral pusher. Under the action of centrifugal force, the solid particles are pushed to the inner wall of the drum and pushed to the slag outlet at the small end of the drum by the blades on the spiral pusher. The liquid overflows through the overflow hole at the large end of the drum. This cycle continues to achieve the purpose of continuous separation. Sedimentation centrifuge belongs to the category of horizontal spiral centrifuge, and its full name is horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuge.
Centrifuge Parameters

Application Areas
Mud centrifuges are widely used in the following fields:
- Oil and gas industry: used for mud purification and recovery during drilling, reducing drilling fluid consumption and improving drilling efficiency.
- Construction industry: Treat the mud generated by construction, reduce environmental pollution, and realize the recycling of mud.
- Environmental protection industry: Processing industrial waste sludge, reducing wastewater discharge, and protecting the ecological environment.
- Mining Processing: Used for solid-liquid separation in the mineral beneficiation process to improve mineral recovery rate and product quality.
