Working principle
The centrifuge pusher tray is a key component in the centrifuge, and its main function is to separate the solid particles from the liquid and push them towards the centrifuge outlet under the action of centrifugal force.
Material introduction: First, the suspension to be separated is continuously introduced into the inside of the bowl of the centrifuge through the feed tube1.
Centrifugal separation: With the high-speed rotation of the bowl, the suspension is separated by centrifugal force. The liquid part (i.e., the liquid phase) is thrown out of the drum through the small holes in the screen and bowl wall, while the solid part (i.e., the solid phase) is trapped in the sieve to form an annular filter cake13.
Pushing action: While the pushing tray and the drum rotate at the same speed, under the push of the piston, the continuous axial reciprocating motion. This reciprocating motion causes the cake layer to move intermittently towards the outer end of the bowl and is finally pushed to the discharge port at the front of the housing for discharge14.
Discharging: Finally, the filter cake is pushed out of the bowl into the collecting chute, and the filter residue is discharged from the tangential discharge port by a scraper mounted on the drum. If the blade design is not used, the cake will go directly into the casing and out of the machine
Application
It is used in chemical, petroleum, food, pharmaceutical, mineral processing, coal, water treatment and shipbuilding departments.
