Decanter Centrifuge Overview
Decanter centrifuge is an efficient and automated separation equipment that uses centrifugal force to effectively separate protein and starch in soybeans. The equipment combines modern mechanical design with advanced separation technology and is widely used in food, chemical and other industries.
Protein extraction process
- The working principle of the decanter centrifuge is based on the action of centrifugal force. The main and auxiliary motors drive the differential through the belt to make the centrifuge drum and the screw conveyor rotate in the same direction around their axes at a certain speed difference.
- The turbid liquid (here refers to the soybean extract) enters the screw conveyor cavity through the feed pipe, and enters the drum cavity through the opening on the screw conveyor cavity under the action of centrifugation. In the high-speed rotating drum, solid particles and liquids with different densities are stratified under the action of rotation to form a solid-liquid annular layer. Solid particles with higher density settle to the inner wall of the drum to form a sediment layer, while the liquid is discharged from the drain port through the overflow port after passing through the filter screen.

Decanter centrifuge application range
Soybean protein starch extraction decanter centrifuge is widely used in the production process of soy protein isolate. After the soybeans are pretreated, oil is extracted, defatted soybean meal and soybean powder are extracted, the equipment can be used to dissolve the soybean protein from the soybean powder in an alkaline solution, and the protein is agglomerated and precipitated by adding acid, and finally the soybean dregs and soybean milk are separated by centrifugation.
In addition, the equipment can also be used for solid-liquid separation in other food, chemical and other industries.
