Centrifuge Overview
In the three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge, the main motor drives the drum to rotate at full speed, and the material is continuously introduced into the spiral from the feed pipe and evenly distributed to the spiral discharge port. Under the action of centrifugal force, the solid phase settles to the drum wall and is pushed out to the slag discharge port of the conical drum by the spiral pusher, and the liquid phase flows out along the spiral to the overflow hole at the large end of the drum, forming a solid phase at the small end and a liquid phase at the large end. The solid particles in the mixed liquid are separated from the liquid, or two mixed liquids with different specific gravities and immiscible with each other are separated.

Working Mechanism
The three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge is mainly composed of a driving part, a drum and a screw conveyor. It has a compact structure and a small size. Its operation is based on the sedimentation principle. That is, solid particles heavier than liquids settle out within a predetermined time.
This principle can also be applied to two liquids with different specific gravities and immiscible. When the material enters the high-speed rotating drum, the material rotates synchronously with the drum in the drum. Due to different specific gravities, the centrifugal forces are different. The solid particles with heavier specific gravity are subject to the greatest centrifugal force, followed by water, and the dirty oil is the smallest. In this way, a concentric solid layer and two liquid layers are formed from the outside to the inside according to the size of the centrifugal force. The solid is pushed out by the screw conveyor, and the liquid is discharged from each liquid guide port. Therefore, the application of the three-phase horizontal screw centrifuge can not only separate the solids from the three muds, but also separate the dirty oil from the three muds, that is, it can perform solid-liquid-liquid separation.
