Overview Of Centrifuge
The top discharge filter centrifuge separates solid particles from liquid in a suspension by centrifugal force. Its uniqueness lies in the design of its discharge system. Usually, the centrifuge includes a rotating drum with a filter medium (such as a screen) inside the drum for intercepting solid particles. In addition, a discharge port is provided at the top of the centrifuge for discharging the separated material.
Working Principle
- Feeding: The suspension enters the drum of the centrifuge through the feed port.
- Separation: Under the action of centrifugal force, the liquid phase in the suspension is thrown out of the drum through the filter medium (screen), while the solid phase particles are retained on the filter medium. As the centrifugation process proceeds, the solid particles gradually accumulate in the drum to form a filter cake.
- Discharge: When the centrifugal process is completed, the formed filter cake or separated liquid can be discharged from the top by controlling the opening of the top discharge port. This design simplifies the discharge process and reduces the loss of materials during the discharge process.
Our Technical Features
- Efficient separation: The top discharge design allows the centrifuged material to be discharged quickly and completely, improving the separation efficiency.
- Reduced pollution: Since the discharge port is located at the top of the centrifuge, it can avoid contact between the material and other parts of the centrifuge during the discharge process, thereby reducing the risk of cross contamination.
- Easy to operate: The top discharge design makes the operation process simpler and faster, reducing the labor intensity of the operator.
- Wide range of application: The top discharge filter centrifuge is suitable for the separation and treatment of various suspensions, such as material separation in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and other industries.
Application Areas
- Chemical industry: Used for the separation and treatment of suspensions such as catalysts, pigments, and coatings.
- Pharmaceutical industry: Used in drug purification, cell separation and other processes.
- Food industry: used for juice clarification, dairy separation and other occasions.
- Environmental protection field: also used in wastewater treatment, sludge dehydration and other aspects.
