Working principle of centrifuge
The horizontal screw centrifuge is a spiral unloading sedimentation centrifuge, and its working principle is based on the centrifugal sedimentation principle. When the mixed sludge containing solid phase and liquid phase enters the centrifuge, in the high-speed rotating drum, due to the density difference between the solid and liquid phases, under the action of centrifugal force, the solid particles with a larger specific gravity will quickly settle to the inner wall of the drum to form a solid ring layer, while the lighter liquid phase will form a liquid ring layer. Through the differential rotation between the screw conveyor and the drum, the sludge in the solid ring layer is slowly pushed to the conical end of the drum, and after dehydration in the drying area, it is continuously discharged from the slag discharge port; while the liquid in the liquid ring layer is continuously discharged through the overflow hole at the large end of the drum, thereby achieving solid-liquid separation.
