Equipment Overview
The horizontal screw centrifuge uses the principle of centrifugal sedimentation to effectively separate solid particles from liquids through the strong centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotating drum. This equipment is widely used in many industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, environmental protection, and food, and has become an important tool for solid-liquid separation.
Working Principle
The working principle of the horizontal screw centrifuge is based on the synergistic effect of centrifugal sedimentation and screw conveying. Under the action of centrifugal force, solid particles are deposited on the wall of the drum to form a sediment layer, while the liquid phase forms an inner liquid ring. The screw conveyor rotates in the same direction as the drum at a certain differential speed, continuously pushing the sediment layer to the conical end of the drum and discharging it through the slag discharge port; at the same time, the liquid phase is continuously discharged from the overflow port at the large end of the drum to achieve solid-liquid separation.
Technical Features
- High-efficiency separation: It adopts high-speed centrifugal separation technology with high separation efficiency, and can effectively process suspensions containing solid matter with a particle size greater than 0.005mm and a concentration range of 2-40%.
- Continuous operation: The equipment can continuously feed, separate, wash and unload at full speed, with large production capacity and strong adaptability.
- Compact structure: It occupies a small area, is easy to install and maintain, and saves space.
- High degree of automation: Modern horizontal screw centrifuges mostly use automated programming control, which reduces manual operation and human errors.
- Smooth operation: The equipment runs smoothly, with low noise, and meets environmental protection and energy-saving requirements.
- Easy maintenance: Few parts, low maintenance cost, and long service life.
Scope Of Application
Horizontal screw centrifuges play an important role in many fields, including:
- Chemical industry: used to separate suspensions in chemical reactions, recover catalysts, etc.
- Pharmaceutical industry: used to purify biological drugs, separate solid particles in liquid medicines, etc.
- Environmental protection : widely used in environmental protection fields such as sewage treatment and sludge dehydration to improve water quality and reduce sludge volume.
- Food : used for juice clarification, wine purification, dairy product dehydration, etc. to improve food quality.
