Working Principle
The working principle of the horizontal screw centrifuge is based on centrifugal sedimentation. Through the differential rotation between the drum and the screw conveyor, solid-liquid separation is achieved under the action of centrifugal force. Specifically, when the sewage sludge mixture is introduced into the centrifuge, due to the action of centrifugal force, the heavier solid particles will be deposited on the drum wall to form a sediment layer, while the lighter liquid will form an inner liquid ring. Subsequently, the screw conveyor will continuously push the deposited solid particles to the conical end of the drum, and finally discharge them through the slag discharge port. At the same time, the liquid will continuously overflow through the overflow port at the large end of the drum to achieve solid-liquid separation.
