Three-Phase Separation Oil, Water And Slag Used Decanter Centrifuge 350

Three-Phase Centrifuge Concept

The horizontal screw centrifuge is an advanced centrifugal equipment that integrates solid-liquid separation and liquid-liquid separation. It is widely used in scenarios where solids and two liquids of different densities need to be separated from a mixture at the same time. It achieves effective separation of three-phase substances through the centrifugal force generated by high-speed rotation, and is particularly suitable for the treatment of complex mixtures in the chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, food and other industries.

Working Principle

The working principle of the three-phase separation horizontal screw centrifuge is based on the principle of centrifugal sedimentation. During the operation of the equipment, the mixture enters the high-speed rotating drum through the feed pipe. Under the action of centrifugal force, the solid particles in the mixture quickly settle on the drum wall to form a solid phase layer, while the two liquids with different densities are separated due to the density difference to form two liquid phase layers.

At this time, the screw conveyor rotates in the same direction as the drum at a certain differential speed, continuously pushing the solid phase layer to the cone end of the drum and discharging it; at the same time, through the specially designed drainage system, the two liquid phases are discharged separately, thereby achieving a complete separation of the three-phase material.

Structural Composition

The three-phase separation horizontal screw centrifuge is mainly composed of the following parts:

  • Drum: A high-speed rotating cylindrical component that is the core area where the mixture is centrifuged.
  • Screw conveyor: Located inside the drum, it rotates in the same direction as the drum at a certain differential speed and is used to push the solid phase layer to the slag discharge port.
  • Feed pipe: The pipe connecting the mixture source to the drum, responsible for introducing the mixture into the centrifuge.
  • Slag discharge port: located at the cone end of the drum, used to discharge the separated solid particles.
  • Discharge system: includes multiple discharge ports and corresponding control devices, which are used to discharge the two liquid phases separately.
  • Drive system: a device that provides power to the drum and screw conveyor, usually composed of a motor and a reducer.
  • Control system: used to monitor and adjust the operating status of the centrifuge to ensure the stability and efficiency of the separation process.

Advantages And Effects

  • Improve separation efficiency: Compared with traditional separation methods, it can more thoroughly separate solids and two liquid phases.
  • Reduce costs: Reduce subsequent processing steps and reduce production costs.
  • Improve product quality: Effectively remove impurities and improve product purity.
  • Environmental protection and energy saving: Reduce wastewater and waste residue emissions, meet environmental protection requirements.

Application Scope Of Three-Phase Horizontal Screw Centrifuge:

  • Oil refinery, separation of oil from oily waste residue in oil pool.
  • Extraction of animal and vegetable fats.
  • Separation of wheat starch and gluten for starch manufacturing.
  • Separation of oil, water and solids.
  • Processing of coal tar.
  • Production of biofuels.
  • Meat/poultry/fish (edible and inedible fats and oils; yellow, white and brown fats and oils).
  • Cooking oils (olive, palm, oat).
