Tubular centrifuges are used to recover or eliminate suspended impurities from liquids and to separate two immiscible liquids of different densities. GQ and GF can be used as clarification or separation type tubular centrifuges.
Clarifying tubular centrifuge (solid-liquid separation)
The GQ is a clarifying tubular centrifuge designed to separate small amounts of solids with a particle size greater than 0.001 micron suspended in a liquid. The high centrifugal forces generated cause the solids to migrate to the walls of the centrifuge tube and be retained. The clarified liquid is discharged from the top of the tube.
Separation Tubular Centrifuge (Liquid-Liquid Separation)
The GF is a separation type tubular centrifuge used to separate two (2) immiscible liquids of different densities. The high centrifugal forces generated cause the high density liquid to migrate toward the tube walls, while the low density liquid is displaced to the center of the tube. The separated liquids are then discharged from the top of the tube through a dedicated outlet.
Separation Tube Centrifuge (Liquid-Liquid-Solid Separation)
The GF is a separating tubular centrifuge designed to separate three (3) phase solutions. If any solids are present, they collect on the walls of the centrifuge tube while the two (2) separated liquids exit the top of the tube through a dedicated outlet.
