Working Principle of a Decanter Centrifuge
A decanter centrifuge, also known as a spiral discharge decanter centrifuge, utilizes a centrifugal field to enhance the solid-liquid separation process.
Material Entry: The mixed liquid enters the high-speed rotating drum through a feed pipe.
Centrifugal Sedimentation: Under the powerful centrifugal force, dense solid particles quickly settle onto the drum walls, while less dense liquid accumulates in the inner layer.
Screw Conveying: The drum is equipped with a screw conveyor, which operates at a slight speed differential with the drum. Solids deposited on the drum walls are continuously pushed by the screw to the discharge port for discharge.
Liquid Clarification and Discharge: The clarified liquid is discharged through an overflow port, achieving solid-liquid separation.
The entire process occurs continuously, achieving continuous feeding, separation, and discharge, greatly improving production efficiency.

Advantages of Decanter Centrifuges
Excellent Separation Performance
High speed creates stronger centrifugal force, enabling efficient separation of fine particles and adapting to varying material properties.
Automated Operation
Fully automated feeding, separation, and discharge are possible, reducing manual intervention and labor costs.
High Adaptability
Can handle highly concentrated, highly viscous, and highly abrasive materials, making it widely used in industries such as sludge, slurry, food, and pharmaceuticals.
Energy Saving and Environmental Protection
The operation process eliminates the need for large amounts of filter cloth or reagents, resulting in highly efficient solid-liquid separation and reduced waste emissions.
Intelligent Control
Equipped with a PLC automatic control system, the centrifuge can flexibly adjust the speed and differential speed based on material properties, enabling remote monitoring and intelligent management.
