Tips For Using A Tubular Centrifuge

Pre-startup inspection

1. Read the instruction manual:

Before installation and use, please read the instruction manual and the operating steps in the manual carefully to ensure that you understand all the functions and safety requirements of the equipment.

2. Equipment status inspection:

Check whether the plug, socket and power cord of the centrifuge are in good condition.

Ensure that the inside of the centrifuge is clean and tidy, without corrosion and wear.

Check whether the safety cover and centrifugal pocket of the centrifuge are tightly connected and not damaged. Check whether the knobs, switches and buttons of the centrifuge are normal.

3. Connection inspection:

Check whether the connection caps of the main shaft and the drum are tight, whether the upper and lower connectors and rubber buffer pads on the upper end of the main shaft are in the correct direction, whether the bottom shaft of the drum is tightened correctly, whether the liquid inlet bearing seat is tightened, and whether all connections are firm.

Loading and setting

1. Centrifuge cup inspection:

Before loading the centrifuge cup, check whether the centrifuge cup is damaged or rusted. If so, replace the centrifuge cup. When loading the centrifuge cup, ensure that the centrifuge cup and the centrifugal balancer match to prevent uneven center of gravity from causing unsafe conditions during the rotation of the centrifuge. When loading the centrifuge cup, keep the centrifuge stable to avoid sliding or shaking.

2. Strictly prohibit counterfeit materials:

Do not use counterfeit centrifuge tubes, nor do you use aging, deformed, or cracked centrifuge tubes.

3. Setting parameters:

Setting the appropriate centrifuge speed and time is an important factor in ensuring the safety of the centrifuge process and the protection of the instrument. When selecting parameters such as centrifuge speed and time, refer to the characteristics of the sample and the rules and regulations of the laboratory or institution where you are using it.

Operation process

1. Start and observe:

After starting the power supply, pay attention to observe whether there are any abnormal conditions. When the machine has not reached the normal speed, you must not leave the operating position or add materials.

During the centrifugal process, pay attention to the stability of the centrifuge rotation. Any unstable situation requires immediate stop of centrifugation.

2. Supply materials:

After the machine reaches the normal speed, slowly supply materials, the pressure should be less than 0.1Mpa, and the supply port is adjusted to the normal supply amount after supply.

Shutdown and disassembly

1. Normal shutdown:

After turning off the power, wait for about 10 minutes until the machine stops completely before sampling or replacing the centrifuge cup. It is strictly forbidden to force the centrifuge to stop by external force.

2. Disassembly and cleaning:

After confirming that the machine has stopped, loosen the liquid pan pressure cap to disassemble the liquid pan, remove the drum from the machine body, and put it into the work rack. Use a special hand to open the bottom shaft, take out the three-wing piece in the drum, and remove the same object in the drum. The operator must take protective measures. Clean the centrifuge cup and the inside of the centrifuge. After centrifugation, remove the residue in the internal centrifuge cup in time. Use appropriate cleaning fluid for cleaning, and do not use harmful organic solvents. Be careful not to touch sharp objects during cleaning, and place it gently to avoid damaging the components.

Maintenance and care

1. Lubrication:

After the drum is connected and installed, rotate the drum clockwise and add appropriate amount of lubricating grease to the lower sliding bearing parts. Generally, add grease to the oil-containing bearing once every 2 hours of operation (usually 1/4 turn), and add appropriate amount of grease to the head bearing and the belt pulley bearing every 160 hours of operation.

2. Drive belt inspection:

Do not start the machine if the drive belt is installed and the drum is not connected properly. Regularly check the wear of parts such as the transmission cross pin, cross shaft sleeve, steel sleeve, and oil-containing bearing, and replace them in time if the wear is serious.

3. Drum inspection:

Regularly check the use of the drum, especially the plane, stopper and thread that match the main shaft must be well protected.

4. Storage environment:

The environment where the centrifuge is placed should be dry and cool, and should not be close to power generators or other high-temperature electrical appliances. Be careful during storage to avoid collisions and damage.
