Working Principle

 

The working principle of tube centrifuge is to utilize the powerful centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the rotor of the centrifuge to accelerate the settling speed of the particles in the liquid, and to separate, concentrate and purify the materials with different settling coefficients and buoyant densities.

The specific process is as follows: the motor drives a tubular drum to rotate at high speed, the suspension enters from the bottom center of the drum, and under the action of centrifugal force, the denser solids rapidly settle on the inner side of the drum to form a solid layer, and the clarified liquid is in the position of the drum’s central axis. When the suspension containing fine particles is stationary, the suspended particles gradually sink due to the action of the gravity field. The heavier the particles, the faster they sink and the particles float smaller than the liquid, the speed of particle movement in the gravity field is related to the size, shape and density of the particles, the strength of the gravity field and the viscosity of the liquid. The drum has a small diameter and can reach a very high rotational speed driven by an electric motor, which can settle very fine particles.

In addition, according to the different separation principles, tube centrifuges can be categorized into clarification type and separation type. The main function of clarifying type tube centrifuge is to deal with liquid-solid separation, and the main function of separating type tube centrifuge is to deal with liquid and liquid separation, or three-phase separation of two liquids and solids.

 

Advantages

 

1. High separation efficiency:

Tube centrifuge can separate many different kinds of mixtures, specializing in small solid particles, liquid-solid separation, liquid-liquid-solid three-phase separation, is the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, biological products and other industries choose the equipment.

 

Disadvantages

 

1. Higher energy consumption:

Tubular centrifuges need to rotate at high speeds and have a higher demand for electrical energy, resulting in greater energy consumption.

 

2. Limited processing capacity:

The drum volume is very small, the production capacity is low, and it is not suitable for processing materials with huge output. At the same time, it can only handle materials with very low concentration of solid particles, and the general particle concentration can not exceed 1%.

 

3. High maintenance cost:

Tubular centrifuge internal parts more parts are prone to wear and tear or damage, need to be replaced frequently, resulting in certain maintenance costs.

 

4. Higher safety risk:

Tubular centrifuge rotating at high speed, an accident may cause greater harm to the equipment and personnel.

 

5. Difficult to operate:

Tubular centrifuge operation requires precise parameter control, and the need for certain pre-preparation operation is more difficult, requiring professional and technical personnel to operate.

 

6. Poor production continuity:

Stopping the machine to clean up the slag is very frequent, affecting the continuity of production.
