Working Principle of a Tubular Centrifuge

Feeding Process

Material continuously enters the drum, typically a slender vertical cylinder, from the feed inlet.

High-Speed Rotation Separation

The drum rotates at an extremely high speed, generating a powerful centrifugal field. This force causes the material to separate into separate layers:

Higher-density solids or liquids are thrown toward the drum walls;

Lower-density liquids accumulate in the center.

Separation Types

Solid-Liquid Separation: Solid particles are deposited on the drum walls, and the clarified liquid is discharged from the top.

Liquid-Liquid Separation: Two liquids of different densities separate into separate layers within the drum and are discharged through different outlets.

Solid-Liquid-Liquid Three-Phase Separation: Solids are deposited, and the light and heavy liquids are collected separately.
