Horizontal screw centrifuge and its uses
Horizontal screw centrifuge, also known as horizontal screw sedimentation centrifuge or horizontal screw centrifuge, is a highly efficient centrifugal separation equipment. It is mainly composed of a high-speed drum, a screw conveyor with a hollow shaft that has the same direction as the drum and a slightly lower speed, and a differential. When the county suspension is fed into the drum by the hollow shaft, under the centrifugal force generated by high-speed rotation, the heavier solid phase particles are thrown on the inner wall of the drum to form a solid layer (solid ring layer), while the lighter liquid phase can only form a liquid layer (liquid ring layer) on the inside of the solid ring layer. Due to the speed difference between the spiral and the drum, the spiral will use this relative motion to slowly push the sludge in the solid ring layer to the conical end of the drum for discharge, while the liquid in the liquid ring layer overflows through the overflow hole at the large end of the drum, thereby achieving the purpose of continuous separation.
The uses of decanter centrifuges are very wide, mainly including the following aspects:
1. Chemical industry: decanter centrifuges are mainly used for solid-liquid separation, concentration and dehydration of county suspensions in the chemical industry. For example, in the chemical process, solid particles in county suspensions are separated, impurities in waste liquids are removed, and solutions such as hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and sulfuric acid are concentrated.
